About JEE Main
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by CBSE. Applicants who want to get admission into engineering (B.E/B.Tech) Courses will have to appear in the paper-1 and those who want to get admission into Architecture (B.Arch/B.Planning) Courses will have to appear in the Paper-2.

Every year applicants appear for this national level (JEE Main) exam to get admission in 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 GFTIs, these are the participating institutions of JEE Main. Details about JEE Main 2017 are mentioned below;

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
Who can Apply - Age Limit
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st Oct. 1992 are eligible. However, in the case of SC/ST & PwD candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after 01st Oct. 1987 are eligible

JEE Main Academic Qualification
Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying exam in 2015 or 2016; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying exam in 2017 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2017
And Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying Exam in 2014 or before as well as those who will appear in such exam in 2018 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2017

Number of Subjects in the Qualifying Exam (QE):
Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying exam in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) - 2017. The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main) 2017 and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main) 2017 by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared

Number of Attempts:
The number of attempts, which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three). Candidates are also advised to note and verify for themselves the eligibility for appearing in JEE (Advanced)-2017 As well as eligibility for admission to various institutes
Candidates seeking admission to the institutions in the states of Gujarat Madhya Pradesh Nagaland and Odisha, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Exam, are also advised to verify their eligibility as per criteria laid down

Number of Attempts & Age Limit for the States of Madhya Pradesh/Odisha:
Since the States of Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) System from 2014
Age Limit, for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their State Level Exams, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will however be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs




JEE Main Exam Pattern
Scheme of Examination of JEE (Main)-2017
Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Exam , JEE (Main)
The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs
The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Exam, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) - 2017 application form online

Mode of Examination
The Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) (described below) of JEE (Main) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based Exam ) mode and Online (Computer Based Exam) mode. The Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based exam mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based exam modes for Paper-1 (B. E/B. Tech.) only

JEE (Main) - 2017 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B. E. / B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch. / B. Planning.)
Candidates may take Paper-1 (B. E. / B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch. / B. Planning.), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to

Admit Card JEE (Main) - 2017
The Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE (Main) website from 2nd week March 2017 onwards. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in only
Candidates are also advised to regularly see JEE (Main) website for updates. A call centre will also be functional on all working days from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM for general facilitation. The phone numbers of the call centre are available on the website of JEE (Main)

How to Apply for JEE Main
In order to appear in JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) 2017, the candidates are required to apply only online as per procedure detailed below
Online Submission of Particulars, uploading of scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression may be made at JEE (Main) website http://jeemain.nic.in
Candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Acknowledgement Page with Application No. shall be generated
Candidates are required to take printout of Acknowledgement Page and keep it for reference. The Acknowledgement Page is not required to be sent to JEE (Main) Secretariat (please refer point no. 10 of Important Instructions on page 3)

Payment Procedure
The Fee may be paid either by Credit Card/Debit Card/e-wallet (SBI Buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan Generated during the online filling of the application form

In case of e-challan, the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank in cash. Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. Application fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances

In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card, the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge as following:
Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable
Debit Card: 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs.2000 and 1% + taxes for exam fee more than Rs.2000/-

SBI Buddy: Rs.20/- per transaction plus the service tax as applicable

Paytm: 1.50% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable

Candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at CBSE website www.jeemain.nic.in

The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced)

All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI with their correct details. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)-2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidate will not be able to fill the application form of JEE (Main) – 2017

Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be

Candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in; the online application process will start from 01st December 2016 onwards

Candidates of JEE (Main)-2017 have to apply online only. There is no printed application form for JEE (Main)

AICTE CMAT 2017 Notification and Dates
CMAT 2017 - Common Management Admission Test
AICTE will be conducting National Level Computer based Common Management Admission Test (CMAT-2017) on 28th & 29th January 2017 for facilitating AICTE approved Institutions, University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges to select suitable candidates for admission in Post Graduate Management Programmes for the academic year 2017-18.

CMAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates shall have to satisfy all the eligible conditions so as to apply for the examination. The CMAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria are illustrated here. The aspirant must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of applying for CMAT 2017

Nationality
Indian nationals are eligible to apply for common management admission test

CMAT 2017 Academic Qualification
Candidates must have completed the graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT 2017 exam. Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2017-18 can also apply for CMAT online exam



CMAT 2017 Exam Pattern
CMAT is the online test, which is conducted in AICTE. The candidates are required to go through the exam paper carefully so as to familiarize with the same.
Duration of test is 3 hours
There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted
A Trial test will be available from 15th December 2016 onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go through them carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room
No breaks will be given during the test

The CMAT 2017 Application Form is available now. Aspiring candidates must have to register them online for this exam; also, in the meantime, the candidates must have to verify their eligibility

Payment Procedure
Payment can be done via two modes:
i. Online Payment: You can select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then do the payment using Credit card / Debit Card/Net Banking
Once your payment is successfully done, you will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS. Once you have received the successful payment confirmation, you can proceed with the remaining part of registration process
ii) Cash Payment in SBI bank: You can select this option to pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI bank branch. Once you select this option and proceed, you will see a CHALLAN on your screen with your details already filled in it
You need to take 3 PRINT OUTS of this CHALLAN, fill in the details wherever required in all the copies, and walk in to your nearest SBI bank branch with CASH on the next day of generation of Challan. Cash Deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan Generation
E.g. If you Generate and Print the Challan copies on 10th October 2016, then walk in to the nearest SBI bank branch with Challan copies and CASH from 11th October 2016 onwards
Similarly if you PRINT the CHALLAN copies on 10th October 2016, then walk in to the nearest SBI bank branch with Challan copies and CASH from 11th November 2016 onwards
Note
The last date to pay CASH in bank is 11th December 2016 and from there onwards to complete registration is 13th December 2016. Submission of final application after payment will not be possible after 13th December 2016
Test Fee: General/OBC Rs.1400/- plus bank charges as applicable; SC/ST/PD Rs.700/- plus bank charges as applicable

Application Form

The candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria set by the CEE for the entrance examination. Only the candidates who are eligible for the exam can go for this examination.    Mode of Payment

The candidates can pay the application fee either:

  1. Through Security card: If candidates choose this medium for remitting the application fee, then he/she is required to get the security card along with prospectus from the post offices as prescribed by the CEE. After the payment of Rs. 1000/- by cash for GEN/OBC (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST), candidates get the security card containing a unique serial number and key number. This key number/serial number is required to enter in the application form in order to complete the payment process.
  2. Through DD: Demand draft of the above mentioned fee according to the category of candidates should be drawn in the favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.


How to apply
  
The application form of KEAM 2016 will be available online only. Follow the following steps mentioned below in order to accomplish the application procedure:
  1. Visit the official site of the board for the link “KEAM-2016 Online Application”.
  2. Click on the link and proceed towards the registration process.
  3. In this process, the candidates get the unique system generated application number. Also, a password is required to enter during the same process.
  4. Now, it is required for the candidate to login with the help of the application number and password (received during the registration process).
  5. Read the information brochure carefully and then Proceeds towards the filling up of the application form, provide all your basic details required and save all the entries as well with the ‘save’
  6. In this step, you can modify/edit or view your details.
  7. When all the filled details are verified by the candidate, then they are required to move in the next step and click the link ‘Final Submission’.
  8. In the next step, provide all the application fee payment details.
  9. Now, take the printout of the filled online submitted application form, paste a photograph (in prescribed format) duly attested by the Head of the Institution, which he/she studied last and send it along with the supporting documents/certificates to the following address:

Key Features

  • The admit card will be available online only in the month of March, 2016 at the official site of the CEE that contains the candidate roll number, date and timing of the exam, venue, application number etc.
  • The rank list will be generated only on the basis of the score secured in KEAM 2016 entrance examination.
