KEAM stands for Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical is the Entrance Examination for the admission in various undergraduate courses offered by the associated institutions of the conducting authority. This is one of the major Kerala state level entrance examination conducted by the CEE(Commissioner of Entrance Examination), Kerala. The candidates can apply for the KEAM 2016 application form from the starting month of January; 2016.Around one lakh twenty five thousand students participate in this exam every year. Application Form

The candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria set by the CEE for the entrance examination. Only the candidates who are eligible for the exam can go for this examination. KEAM 2016 application form available from 3rd January, 2016 to the 29th Jan,2016. The dates regarding the KEAM 2016 application form is confirmed.    Mode of Payment

The candidates can pay the application fee either:

  1. Through Security card: If candidates choose this medium for remitting the application fee, then he/she is required to get the security card along with prospectus from the post offices as prescribed by the CEE. After the payment of Rs. 1000/- by cash for GEN/OBC (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST), candidates get the security card containing a unique serial number and key number. This key number/serial number is required to enter in the application form in order to complete the payment process.
  2. Through DD: Demand draft of the above mentioned fee according to the category of candidates should be drawn in the favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.


How to apply
  
The application form of KEAM 2016 will be available online only. Follow the following steps mentioned below in order to accomplish the application procedure:
  1. Visit the official site of the board for the link “KEAM-2016 Online Application”.
  2. Click on the link and proceed towards the registration process.
  3. In this process, the candidates get the unique system generated application number. Also, a password is required to enter during the same process.
  4. Now, it is required for the candidate to login with the help of the application number and password (received during the registration process).
  5. Read the information brochure carefully and then Proceeds towards the filling up of the application form, provide all your basic details required and save all the entries as well with the ‘save’
  6. In this step, you can modify/edit or view your details.
  7. When all the filled details are verified by the candidate, then they are required to move in the next step and click the link ‘Final Submission’.
  8. In the next step, provide all the application fee payment details.
  9. Now, take the printout of the filled online submitted application form, paste a photograph (in prescribed format) duly attested by the Head of the Institution, which he/she studied last and send it along with the supporting documents/certificates to the following address:

Key Features

  • The admit card will be available online only in the month of March, 2016 at the official site of the CEE that contains the candidate roll number, date and timing of the exam, venue, application number etc.
  • The rank list will be generated only on the basis of the score secured in KEAM 2016 entrance examination.

 NATIONALITY
 Acandidate must either be (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Bhutan,or (iii) a subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to Indiabefore the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling inIndia, or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma,Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic ofTanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention ofpermanently settling in India. Air Force and Naval Wingof National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian NavalAcademy: 12th classpass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalentwith Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or aUniversity
Candidates who areappearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education orequivalent examination can also apply for this examination
Those candidates whohave yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowedto appear in the UPSC examination should note that this is only a specialconcession given to them
They are required tosubmit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent exam by the prescribeddate and no request for extending this date will be entertained on the groundsof late conduct of Board/University Examination, delay in declaration ofresults or any other ground whatsoever
 
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
Candidates must bephysically fit according to physical standards for admission to NationalDefence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2016

APPLICATION FEE
Fee: Candidates(excepting female SC/ST/PH candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note2 in the notification who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to paya fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money inany Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank ofIndia/ State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank ofMysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/MasterCredit/Debit Card
Applicants who opt for"Pay by Cash" mode, should print the system generated Pay-in-slipduring Part- II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branchon the next working day only. "Pay by Cash" mode option will bedeactived at 23.59 hours of 28th January 2016 (Tentative) i.e. one day beforethe closing date; however, applicants who have generated their Pay-in-slipbefore it is de-activated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during bankinghours on the closing date
Such applicants who areunable to pay by cash on the closing date i.e. during banking hours at SBIBranch, for reason whatever, even if holding a valid Pay-in-Slip, will have noother offline option but to opt for online Debit/Credit Card or InternetBanking Payment mode on the closing date i.e. till 23.59 hours of 29th January2016 
For the applicants inwhose case payments details have not been received from the bank they will betreated as fictitious payment cases and a list of all such applicants shall bemade available on the commission website within two weeks after the last day ofsubmission of online application
The applicants shall berequired to submit the proof of their fee payment within 10 days from the dateof such communication either by hand or by speed post to the commission
On receipt ofdocumentary proof, genuine fee payment cases will be considered and theirapplications will be revived, if they are otherwise eligible

SELECTION PROCEDURE
 The Union Public Service Commission shallprepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in thewritten examination as fixed by the commission at their discretion
Such candidates shallappear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality Testwhere candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Schemeof Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality and those forthe Air Force in Pilot Aptitude Test and for Officers Potentiality
PABT applicable tocandidates with Air Force as first choice would also be conducted for all SSBqualified candidates with one of the choice as Air Force subject to theireligibility and if they are so willing
Two-stage selectionprocedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has beenintroduced at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards

2. Thepapers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. Thequestion papers of mathematics and part "b" of general ability testswill be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
3. In the question papers, wherever necessary,questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set.
4. Candidates must write the papers in their ownhand. In no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a scribe to writeanswers for them.
5. The Commission have discretion to fixqualifying marks in any or all the subjects at the examination.
6. The candidates are not permitted to usecalculator or Mathematical or logarithmic table for ans. objective type papers.They should not therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall.

Suchcandidates shall appear before a Services Selection Board for intelligence andPersonality Test where candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2Executive branch of Naval Academy will be assessed on officer’s potentialityand those for the Air Force in Pilot Aptitude Test and for officer’spotentiality.







 
TWO STAGESELECTION PROCEDURE
Two stage selectionprocedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has beenintroduced at Selection Centre’s/Air Force Selection Boards.  All the candidates will be put to stage onetest on first day of reporting at Selection Centre’s/Air Force SelectionBoards.  Only those candidates whoqualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests.  Those candidates who qualify stage II will berequired to submit the original Certificates along with one photocopy each of:(i) original Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date ofbirth; (ii) Original 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent in support ofeducational qualification.
Candidates who appearbefore the Services Selection Board and undergo the test there will do so attheir own risk and will not be entitled to claim any compensation or otherrelief from Government in respect of any injury which they may sustain in thecourse of or as a result of any of the tests given to them at the ServicesSelection Board whether due to the negligence of any person or otherwise.Parents or guardians of the candidates will be required to sign a certificateto this effect.
To be acceptable,candidates for the Army/Navy and Naval Academy should secure the minimumqualifying marks separately in (i) Written examination and (ii) Officerpotentiality test, as fixed by the Commission in their discretion, andcandidates for the Air Force should secure the minimum qualifying marksseparately in (i) Written examination (ii) Officer potentiality test, and (iii)Pilot Aptitude Test as fixed by the Commission in their discretion.
Subject to theseconditions the qualified candidates will then be placed in the final order ofmerit on the basis of total marks secured by them in the Written examination,and the Services Selection Board Tests in three separate lists-one for the Armyand the Navy, the second one for the Air Force and the third for the Course atthe Naval Academy. The names of candidates who qualify for all the Services ofNDA and the Naval Academy will appear in all the three Merit Lists. The finalselection for admission to the Army and Naval Wings of the National DefenceAcademy will be made in order of merit up to the number of vacancies availablefrom the merit list for the Army and Naval Wings, for the Air Force Wing fromthe merit list for the Air Force; and for the Executive Branch of Naval Academyupto the number of vacancies available from the merit list for the NavalAcademy, subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects. Thecandidates who are common to all the three merit lists will be considered forselection from all the three lists with reference to their order of preferencesand in the event of their final selection from one list, names will becancelled from the other lists.
N.B.: Every candidate for the Air Force is givenPilot Aptitude Test only once. The Grade secured by him at the first test willthere-fore hold good for every subsequent interview he has with the Air ForceSelection Board. A candidate who fails in the first Pilot Aptitude Test cannotapply for admission to the National Defence Academy Examination for the AirForce wing or General Duties (Pilot) Branch or Naval Air Arm.
Candidates who have been given the PilotAptitude Test for any previous N.D.A. course should submit their applicationfor this examination for the Air Force Wing only if they have been notified ashaving qualified in the Pilot Aptitude Test.
The form and manner of communication of theresult of the examination to individual candidates shall be decided by theCommission at their discretion and the Commission will not enter intocorrespondence with them regarding the result.
Success in the examination confers no right ofadmission to the Academy. A candidate must satisfy the appointing authoritythat he is suitable in all respects for admission to the Academy.
